Goodbye, Strange Lord

Today I finished watching the final episode of "I am Weird Jun" on Bilibili: 【Dian Dao Wei Zhi 40】Guan Men Da Ji "The Mystery of Greek Coffins" Final Episode.

Like other updaters who have stopped updating recently, the Weird Jun team has also encountered a situation where their income does not cover their expenses, so this program should be on a long-term hiatus.

I am not a long-time fan of Weird Jun. In fact, I only started following him in February of this year. Once, I saw his program "Ru Shou Wu Zuo Sui Zhi Wu" on the recommended homepage of Bilibili. At that time, two aspects attracted me: the first was the cover, and the second was the duration.

I can't say that I have no interest in detective novels, because I have read some of Keigo Higashino's books before and found them interesting. But I'm not a fan of detective novels, just like I watch Weird Jun's videos, I mostly see them as "relaxation" time. Weird Jun has always advocated for his audience to read the original works in his videos. I don't know how many people actually do this, but personally, I look forward to Weird Jun's program every Saturday.

I don't deny that I'm too lazy to read the original works, because after watching the first video of Ru Shou, I found that although the story is clear and straightforward in Weird Jun's videos, when you go back to the original works, you will find that Weird Jun has simplified some factors that do not affect the plot for the audience. And in order to help the audience better understand the story, he will also add some special mnemonic methods. For someone like me who has poor understanding of characters and interpersonal relationships, I almost never get confused about characters and relationships in his videos.

As a person, I seem to have a natural aversion to uppers wearing masks, feeling that they are deliberately pretending to be mysterious. This may also be due to seeing some so-called "hacker" channels that fool newcomers, so I have no good impression of all uppers wearing masks. The first time I watched Weird Jun's program, when I saw his mask, I felt uncomfortable all over, but I calmed down because his program was quite exciting. After watching several episodes of his program, I found that he is not the kind of "masked upper" I had in mind, and I got used to it.

In fact, last week, Weird Jun posted a dynamic on his Bilibili, saying that his company has encountered major changes and the program needs to be postponed. Later, I heard some fans say that Weird Jun revealed in a live broadcast that his program will be discontinued and he will return to a "corporate slave" life. I don't know more details, but I know that this up, who has only been followed for two months, is going to stop updating, but he hasn't forgotten to finish telling the audience the last chapter of the story. Just like in Ru Shou, the philosophy that Dao Cheng Yan Ye adheres to: he believes that a serialization without an end will deprive readers of their enjoyment, so a seamless ending should be given. He did do that, so today's program is a full hour long, as always, telling a good story to the audience.

I know that all good things must come to an end, but I still want to say: thank you for the company, goodbye! I will always remember the man with the black and red mask on his head.
